On my way to the bank yesterday, I almost missed seeing this streamer. It wasn’t prominently displayed and it didn’t really stand out. As a matter of fact, it was an exceedingly ordinary streamer. And had it not been due to the usual daily traffic jam in the area, I probably wouldn’t have noticed it. So why take a photo and waste precious web space on it?

Well for one, the smaller streamer beneath the main ad contained an offer that was near impossible to ignore.

P40 per session? 40 Pesos is about $0.83 at today’s exchange rate. Golly! My barber charges more than that, and I have to bear his unrelenting chatter about life with his fellow barbers. I don’t know of many establishments that confidently wears the title “man of steel” and offers to teach various martial arts techniques at the same time – all for less than a dollar per visit. This place just might be worth paying a special visit one of these days.
