The 6th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention opened today at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall in Ortigas. I met up with some buddies and attended the show. As always, the place is packed with people and of course, toys. I noticed that the floor layout this year is a vast improvement from last year’s, which made pedestrian flow so much more fluid. I have to give my kudos to the organizers for what looks to be another successful convention.

Some of this year’s highlights include:

The presence of Digger Mesch and his new outfit Dig Deep Entertainment…

The presence of some local celebrities, like Dylan of JackTV…

An 8-foot Optimus Prime on display (Transformers fever is all over the place)…

Some custom lifesize statues…

And of course, what would a Toy Con be without the Cosplayers (man, that’s gotta hurt, somehow)…

The convention will run until tomorrow, June 17. So if you missed today’s event, there’s still hope for you.
