Quite possibly the most watched TV star in the world through iconic starring roles in popular series “Knight Rider” and “Baywatch,” David Hasselhoff will make his first Wizard World appearances at Philadelphia Comic Con (June 19-22) and Chicago Comic Con (Aug. 22-24) in 2014. Hasselhoff, who has also recorded dozens of gold and platinum albums worldwide, is largely responsible for the pop culture phenomena that both of those shows have become.
Hasselhoff rose to international superstardom with his portrayal of “Michael Knight” in the science fiction series — co-starring a talking car — from 1982-1986. He then took the lead role of “Mitch Buchannon” in the series featuring bikini-clad Southern California lifeguards from 1989-2000 and in the spinoff series “Baywatch Nights” (1995-97) and a TV movie “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding” (2003). Both shows, particularly “Baywatch,” still enjoy frequent play in syndication globally.
