Special effects artist and filmmaker Scotty Fields is hoping to create a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan film and he needs help. He has resorted to using Indiegogo to raise funds for the project.

The purpose of this fan film is not for profit, but rather to give the TMNT fans what they were expecting instead of what Michael Bay is going to give them – that is hard practical effects and latex costumes/puppets/animatronics, etc. It’s really for the old school fans who remember the original movie. It’s also a way for fans to have top quality props/cosplay items such as a Shredder Helmet or Casey Jones mask (similar to the one Kevin Eastman is holding in the photo below) or even a real-life Mouser.
