Ban Kee Trading Inc., the official distributor of Mattel products in the Philippines, held their anuual trade show earlier today (September 07, 2007) at the Isla Ballroom in Shangri-La Hotel EDSA. The show was by-invitation only and was attended mainly by Ban Kee’s business partners, toy store owners and a few close friends. Fortunately for AFHUB, 4 of our intrepid members were on the exclusive guest list. Goldrich (Gold) Castillo, Kenway (Clark Ken) Chee, Eric (Thunderbreak) Cruz and JP (gaoJP) Landingin were there to attend and gather the latest news.

Here’s the rundown…

So far the only Justice League Unlimited (JLU) figures on hand during the show were the following single packs:

• Batman
• Superman
• Flash (with lightning bolt)
• Lex Luthor (in olive green uniform)
• Zatanna
• Wonder Woman

Unfortunately for those collecting DC Super Heroes (DCSH) and The Batman lines, there was nothing new unveiled.

There were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on display – TMNT Fast Forward. The wave consists of the 4 TMNT, and their evil clone counterparts (Dark Leo, Dark Don etc.) only. These figures are priced at P499.75 each. Vehicles include the Steel Wheel and Shell Speeder, priced at P1,199.75 each. There was no sign of the Hover Shell tank.

That’s about it. At least we’re seeing some signs of life from the JLU line. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that, though nothing was shown, the DCSH and The Batman lines are still high in their priority list.
